Why our program could be right for you

Our two-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship uniquely combines the robust clinical resources of a large academic department with the research and teaching expertise of a world-class medical complex. Fellows gain hands-on experience in clinical trials, observational research, qualitative investigations, and global health initiatives. Training includes advanced pregnancy termination care, complex contraception, and the management of pregnancy loss, ensuring a comprehensive clinical foundation. This multifaceted approach prepares graduates to lead in both academic and clinical settings.

This location offers innovative gynecological and family planning services, patient-centered primary and specialty care, and comprehensive cancer screening and treatment services. It also serves as the primary surgical site for first- and second-trimester abortion and miscarriage procedures, and fellows take weekend in-house Generalist call in Labor and Delivery and Gynecology at this location. Weiler Hospital is a New York State-designated Regional Perinatal Center and a New York State-designated Stroke Center.

Weiler Lobby

A New York City partner hospital adjacent to our Moses Campus

A member of NYC Health + Hospitals, North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) is a 232-bed, 17-story healthcare facility located in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx. The hospital’s ambulatory care center is home to multiple subspecialty clinics and provides second-trimester abortion care, supporting patients who may have limited access to resources.

Specialized reproductive and early pregnancy care in an outpatient setting

The Eastchester Professional Center serves as the primary academic clinical office, providing specialized reproductive health and early pregnancy care in an outpatient setting. Services include early pregnancy, miscarriage, and abortion care, as well as complex contraception, including complex LARC insertion and removal under local anesthesia, pregnancy confirmation and dating, first-trimester miscarriage and abortion care, and management of complex abnormal pregnancies. The center also offers preoperative consultations for permanent contraception and preoperative care for procedural abortion with sedation, with an emphasis on safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

Dedicated Fellow CFP Clinic at the Comprehensive Care Center

At the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Care Center, we have a dedicated Fellows’ CFP Clinic that offers comprehensive, complex family planning care in an under resourced community. The clinic provides comprehensive contraception and family planning care in an outpatient setting, including complex LARC insertion and removal under local anesthesia, preoperative consultation for surgical permanent contraception (sterilization), pregnancy confirmation and dating, and first-trimester miscarriage and abortion care, including medication and procedural services with local anesthesia. Operative care is supported through designated operating room days at affiliated sites.

Operative and complex contraception care at Hutchinson Campus

The Montefiore Einstein Hutchinson Campus provides operative and procedural care for complex contraception and permanent sterilization and serves as the primary surgical location for surgical permanent contraception, including laparoscopic tubal ligation and salpingectomy, as well as complex intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals. Services include laparoscopic permanent contraception and other complex contraception procedures performed in a multidisciplinary setting with access to comprehensive operative resources, supporting safe, high-quality patient care.
